Kamala Harris Reacts To Disruptive Protesters
According to USA Today, Harris hit a rally stage in front of about 15,000 attendees in Detroit, Michigan, on Wednesday, August 7. Amid her speech, a group of pro-Palestinian protesters reportedly interrupted her remarks.
“Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide! We won’t vote for genocide,” they yelled, per the outlet.
Harris initially responded with calm remarks, the outlet adds.
“I’m here because I believe in democracy. I believe everyone’s voice matters. But I’m speaking now. I am speaking now,” she reportedly said.
However, as the “interruptions continued,” the VP decided to amp up her response.
“You know what? If you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I’m speaking,” she added as she raised her hands and glared across the room.

Kamala Harris Recently Selected Her Running Mate In The 2024 Presidential Election
According to USA Today, the Detroit rally was the “largest rally yet” for Harris’ campaign. Furthermore, the stop is among one of Harris’ firsts since she picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate in the presidential election.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Harris announced the decision on Tuesday, August 8.
At the time, she asserted that she and Walz are “going to build a great partnership” and “win this election.”
