There’s no dispute that Quan had the 2010s on lock with songs like ‘Type of Way,’ ‘My Hitta,’ and ‘Flex.’ And his impact and hits have carried over for more than a decade. So much so that the Atlanta rapper was still booking shows, with his latest and last being in Arkansas. According to TMZ, Rich Homie Quan took the stage at El Dorado on Sunday night (Sept. 1) for a car and bike show. At one point, Quan rapped his famous lyrics while vibing with a red cup in his hand!
RHQ’s Dad Reveals One Of Their Last Conversations
Quan’s father, Corey Lamar, first broke his silence on his firstborn son’s death on September 6. On Instagram Stories, he said he was feeling “unbearable pain” and asked God to help him understand the unexpected and sudden passing. “I feel like I’m crushed to a million pieces,” Lamar wrote.
Then, shortly after midnight on Sept. 7, he recalled their conversation about spending time together at a Miami show Quan had on his books. Corey said Rich Homie Quan called him last week and invited him to see his performances as a “mental break.” Lamar said he booked their flights and a mansion, but then Quan suddenly passed away.
“I booked my flight, booked us a nice mansion to stay in not knowing my son wouldn’t be here to go with me. Moral of the tomorrow’s not promised. Enjoy life and make memories with your love ones!!!”
Quan’s dad isn’t the only one going down memory lane following his death. Several celebrities, from Quavo to Boosie, Jacquees, and Playboi Carti, have shared tribute messages since Thursday. DJs have been spinning his music at the club and on the radio.
However, hours after Quan’s family confirmed his death, Erica Banks received heavy backlash when she shared what looked to be intimate moments with the Atlanta rapper. She later deleted the content from her social media platforms, but days later, folks are still yapping about the decorum of the moment.
